Durango Bach Festival | March 14-20, 2011
3rd Ave. Arts presents the fourth annual Durango Bach Festival, a week-long event March 14 to 20, 2011 in Durango, Colorado showcasing the music of J. S. Bach. Convenient Festival Passes and tickets for the Wednesday, March 16 Extended Works Concert and Bach's Birthday Bash on Saturday, March 20 are available here!

Bach's Lunch is a half-hour recital Monday through Friday, March 14-18 at noon, followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall. Meet the musicians, enjoy lunch, and hear interesting talks. No ticket required. Minimum donations: $5 recital, $5 lunch (included in all passes).

Extended Works Concert, Wednesday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m., will feature a Brandenburg Concerto (or two...stay tuned!) and a solo cantata featuring mezzo-soprano Nan Wagner who returns from Portland for the Festival. Advance tckets recommended. $15 adults, $5 students/children (included in all passes). Space is limited; buy your tickets soon!

Bach's Birthday Bash, Saturday March 19 at 2:00 and repeated at 7:00 p.m. Come celebrate Bach's 326th birthday with a wonderful concert followed by an elegant reception featuring gourmet desserts and coffees. Advance tckets recommended. $15 adults, $5 students/children (included in all passes). Space is limited; buy your tickets soon!

The festival concludes with a Student Recital Sunday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Students of all ages are accepted by recommendation of their music teacher. Tickets not required; minimum donation: $5 (included in all passes).

All events take place in the historic sanctuary at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 910 E. 3rd Ave. in Durango, Colorado. Hear the glorious music of J. S. Bach in the most beautiful, intimate setting in southwest Colorado.

Buy a Bach Festival Pass and Save $5! The $80 pass includes all recitals, all luncheons and talks, one ticket for the Wednesday Extended Works Concert and one ticket to either the 2:00 or 7:00 p.m. Birthday Bash concert on Saturday.
