The Murphey School Radio Show
Recorded live, the Murphey School Radio Show will be a briskly-paced variety show with music in many styles, funny skits poking fun at the communities of the Triangle, and breathtaking readings by our literary guests.
The idea is to spend a couple of hours laughing and singing along as we raise the roof of the historic Murphey School auditorium, a 1936 WPA project that has been recently and lovingly restored by the Shared Visions Foundation as a nonprofit retreat and community center.
The show will feature a remarkable lineup of WRITERS Daniel Wallace Jacki Shelton Green Bland Simpson Jill McCorkle
PERFORMERS Stella a capella Jennifer Evans Mary Rocap Lise Uyanik Freddy Bradburn Ruth Wakefield Jay Cartwright
AND COMEDY by The Piedmont Players
Our announcer is radio veteran Rob Gringle and the host for the evening is literary adventurer Georgann Eubanks. The program is produced by Donna Campbell of Minnow Media.
