2011 TC WINTER MICROBREW & MUSIC FESTIVAL
2011 Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival
February 12, Old Town Traverse City, Michigan

Lovers of craft beer, live music and great local food won't want to miss the second annual Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival taking place under heated tents this February 12 in the historic Old Town district of downtown Traverse City!

This festival, celebrating winter fun, craft beer and local wine, cider and mead, will be held for the first time in heated tents in Old Town Traverse City on Union Street between Seventh and Eighth Streets as well as in Blue Tractor's parking lot.

National and Michigan-made music, local food and artists, and more than 60 craft brews from Michigan and beyond will be featured in a beautiful winter setting. In addition to beer, wine from the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula (WOMP) will be available along with local ciders, mead and ice wines giving festival-goers a dynamic range of local food and drink to enjoy.

Michigan's Steppin' In It will headline and bring their acoustic set to Old Town playing old-timey music, swing, blues and some of the liveliest acoustic roots music around. Microbrew & Music Festival favorite Delilah DeWylde & The Lost Boys will perform classic country originals along with songs by Hank Williams and Buck Owens. Funktion, Grand Traverse Pipes & Drums, DJ Dominate, West African drumming and the Poi Fire Twirlers, a juggling contest and a multitude of acoustic artists will also perform on small stages throughout the festival.

Limited tickets for Saturday's festivities are $25 in advance ($30 at the door). Saturday's tickets include music, craft beer education, free samples in the Hop-N-Brew Shack, and five 7 oz. pours with additional pours available for purchase. There will also be a number of after-party events around Traverse City  keep your eyes and ears open!

Tickets can be purchased at Oryana, Blue Tractor, and online at www.porterhouseproductions.com. Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. There will be a re-entry policy in effect for Saturday's festival as there are other great events happening in downtown TC that weekend. Ticket buyers must be at least 21 years old. Folks are encouraged to carpool, use the Old Town parking deck, or, better yet, snowshoe, ski, or sled on over! Please respect our neighbors and try to not park in front of residents' homes.

Porterhouse Productions is dedicated to supporting local businesses and creating year-round events that support local food, beer, wine, arts and downtown merchants.

The Traverse City Winter Microbrew & Music Festival is presented by The Blue Tractor, Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula and Porterhouse Productions. We extend a special thank you to festival volunteers, the Michigan Brewers Guild and Old Town merchants.
