Tailored Tales- A Radio Play
Chronicling radio's 95-year reign of the airwaves, Action Racket Theatre's Lois Kagan Mingus and Joanie Fritz Zosike invite spectators to witness radio history from its inception in the 1920s to its present day mutations. Including excerpts from antic favorites, The Bickersons and The Goldbergs to the notorious Orson Welles' War of the Worlds and Garrison Keillor's Lake Wobegon Days. Featured accompanist is Joanie's 80 (something year old) mother, Gloria Hieger, who remarked upon reading the script: "Oi! Radio will never be the same!" Action Racket Theatre (ART) is the brainchild of Lois Kagan Mingus and Joanie Fritz Zosike, company performers of the Lower East Side's legendary The Living Theatre.
