Fauna Concert - Mission Dolores
The SFMO will be presenting its latest concert series: "Fauna". We'll bring you songs of animals, both real and imagined, from tortoises and camels to armadillo tanks and firebirds. We'll play selections from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Saint-Saëns's Carnaval des Animaux, and Vivaldi's Four Seasons (Primavera, because it's spring!). Come out and join us for our most whimsical season yet!
The San Francisco Mandolin Orchestra is an orchestra of instruments in the mandolin family: mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin, and mandocello, in addition to guitar and double bass. The group formed in 2005, and our repertoire focuses on a new theme each season, with seasons lasting four to six months.
