Saturday Family Concerts: Bushwick Book Club plays 'Where The Sidewalk Ends'
The Bushwick Book Club, admittedly, is not your run-of-the-mill-book-club. This West Coast 'chapter' of the Brooklyn original is made up of local songwriters ranging from Kay Kay and his Weathered Underground to Wes Weddell and more. Each month, 10 artists plumb the depths of a literary gem (October's pick was Slaughterhouse Five; December, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), then write and perform original songs about it. Town Hall is pleased to host their first ever family show, around Shel Silverstein's beloved "Where The Sidewalk Ends." Series supported by the Fales Foundation Trust, The Glaser Foundation, and U.S. Bancorp Foundation. Series media sponsorship provided by ParentMap and KEXP.
