Local Roots NYC Supper Club Speaker Series: Boerum Apparel
Second in our new supper club speaker series is a dinner with the man behind sustainably driven clothing, Boerum Apparel.
A brief introduction will be followed by an informal discussion around our guest's role in the sustainable movement and what has motivated them to re-think the conventional system. Our guest will then take a seat amongst diners for a seasonally driven, multi course meal to ensue.
Teel founder of Boerum Apparel, began to question the supply chain in the clothing industry and what he found inspired him to create his own clothing line. Boerum Apparel emphasizes on creating a transparent supply chain with the merino and cotton they use: from people, land, and animal.
The evening's three course menu will be inspired by the seasonal produce from the Local Roots CSA. There will be two dining sessions that will fit 15 people each, ensuring an opportunity for guests to chat with our guest of honor. Seating will be informal with a matinee dinner at 6:30pm and another at 8:30pm.
Location in Brooklyn will be disclosed upon ticket purchase. BYOB.
