A native of St. Louis, Feyza Eren spent 15 years singing overseas in Istanbul, including many other cities in Europe. Though formerly a student of classical violin and graduate of broadcast journalism, singing has always been her greatest passion. She was a lead vocalist in a very popular Turkish folk group, Ezginin Gunlugu and released 5 albums with them in Turkish. In 2000, Feyza's 1st solo jazz album, I'm New, was released, accompanied by Turkey's finest jazz musicians.

Feyza has performed at the most popular concert halls and jazz clubs in Istanbul and was invited to play at the most prestigious jazz festivals throughout Turkey. She has performed with internationally acclaimed musicians, and was the featured vocalist with the Ricky Ford Orchestra. In 2006, they were invited to perform at the Val de Jazz Festival in France and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Club in Paris. She has also sung commercial jingles as well as title songs in full-length feature films, including Oyunbozan and Quest for Camelot.

After her return to St. Louis in the 2011, Feyza has been singing at a number of venues with St. Louis' best musicians. She has recorded 3 new records and is currently working on the 4th. She also does voice-overs including animation characters.

Tonight's concert will be filmed live by HEC-TV for the show, I Love Jazz with Don Wolff. It will feature Feyza and is scheduled to air in June. She will be performing as a Quartet with Steve Davis on drums, Adam Maness on piano and Ben Wheeler on bass. They will do arrangements of jazz standards and bossa nova favorites including a few pop classics. Don't miss this exclusive performance for HEC-TV.
