CASSANDRA CRIES by Christine Ashworth Life consists of the random intersections between people and events. Sometimes we control them, sometimes they control us, and on rare occasions they are storms beyond our comprehension. We try to help what cannot be helped, and often our hearts break in the process. An exploration of a troubled pastor confronted by someone whose troubles are beyond his comprehension.
Directed by Monica Martin
Featuring: Tom Ashworth Jocelyn Hall
THE BIG BLUE by Leslie Hardy In a community below The Divide, three generations of family struggle to exist. As their world begins to implode and dreams are irrevocably shattered, they are forced to imagine a new existence. Does hope ever die or do we kill it?
Directed by Ann Ryerson
Featuring: James Babbin Andrew Blackwood Rachel Boller Jon Christie Vanessa Barco Herb Isaacs Jane Kim Darice Richman
GOD HELP US by Jeremy Kehoe A middle-management, ladder-climbing God back from a two-thousand year meeting is hell-bent on erasing an underperforming Earth from his cosmic ledger. Only one woman's unbending faith and an obscure Da Vinci Clause threaten to foil his Divine Financial Plan. Irreverent fun with God, Saint Peter, Jesus and Coke Zero.
Directed by Paul Messinger
Featuring: Jennifer Jules Hart Drew McAuliffe Gary Rubenstein Mykee Selkin Stephen Spiegel
WHY WORKSHOPS? Fierce incubates and cultivates new plays. The most important part of that development process is the time between the completed first draft and the final polished production. Fierce believes that workshop productions provide a valuable tool for writers and actors to refine characters and stories. Our directors rehearse each play with an eye toward performance with each writer re-writing throughout the rehearsal process as needed. Scripts are performed fully off-book with bare bones design elements.
Then we add YOU. An audience is the final important element that tells us what's working. We invite you to be part of our development process and experience these brand new stories as they are staged for the very first time.
Join us and be Fierce!
