"Beverly Hills Cop"
Grand Central Market and The Million Dollar Theatre are throwing it back to the 80s with a screening of the 1984 action-comedy "Beverly Hills Cop" at the Million Dollar Theatre on Saturday, April 25th at 8 PM. Starring Eddie Murphy as a street-smart cop hailing from Detroit, the film takes us through a hilariously ludicrous ride through Beverly Hills as Murphy attempts to solve the murder of his best friend. Directed by Martin Brest and written by Daniel Petrie, Jr., the film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 1985 and became an iconic film of the 80s.
Come and celebrate LA's rich film history at this special screening at the landmark Million Dollar Theatre, the first movie palace built by Sid Grauman. Before the show, enjoy KCRW DJ Aaron Byrd spin some of the 80s best and most missed hits from 6-8 p.m. at the iconic Grand Central Market - bringing Angelenos together through food since 1917. Select vendors will be open late, inviting you to enjoy the food, culture and music before the screening.
Garage parking is available after 6 p.m. at 308 S. Hill St., just south of 3rd St. for $6.
