Sacramento Baroque Soloists "Voice of the Cello" Concert
Sacramento Baroque Soloists are in their fourth year of presenting what has proven to be an extremely popular and well-received combination of instruments: cello, violone, viola da gamba, and harpsichord. The program is unusual in its exploration of the bass end of the harmonic realm, with performances of sonatas by Barriere, Marcello, Geminiani, Galliard, and Cervetto, enhanced by the sonorous acoustics of historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Lynn Tetenbaum will also perform a viola da gamba Sonata by J.S. Bach, and join Ellen Deffner, harpsichord, to complete the continuo accompaniment.
