The Burnt Hills Oratorio Society presents its Spring 2015 concert, Sounds of the Spirit, featuring the music of John Rutter, Alice Parker, and a premiere by our very own Alfred Fedak. Also being showcased are the winners of the BHOS 2014 Vocal Scholarship Award: Nicole Rizzo and Ashley Marie Rickson.
The concert will take place on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th, 3:00 pm at the First Reformed Church of Scotia. Tickets can be purchased at the choir's website www.BHOS.us or via Brown Paper Tickets.
The featured vocal soloists are Tess McCarthy (soprano), Sharon Fullard (mezzo soprano), Francis Pallozzi Wittmann (alto), Robert Soricelli (tenor) and Nicholas A Wiggins (bass). The choir and soloists will be accompanied by the BHOS Chamber Ensemble, a select group of local musicians.
The musical selections include "Melodius Accord" by Alice Parker, "Feel the Spirit" by John Rutter, and a premiere of "Ave Maria" by Alfred V. Fedak.
