2015 AIAMidTN BEC April Session
Join us in April with speaker John Rose as we learn about Lightweight Concrete Roofing for our second 2015 BEC session!
The mission of AIAMidTN BEC is to provide an interdisciplinary forum to promote and encourage discussion, training, education, technology transfer and the exchange of information. This includes local issues and cases, relevant weather and environmental conditions, and all matters concerning building enclosures (envelopes) and the related science in Middle Tennessee.
AIAMidTN BEC is a committee of the AIA Middle Tennessee Chapter enhancing the work of the AIAMidTN COTE.

About the Speaker:
John Rose is the Manager for Siplast Lightweight Insulating Concrete Roof Insulation Systems. His career spans over 30 years in the roofing and the fire protection industry. Prior to joining Siplast in 1995, he worked for W. R. Grace involved with roofing, waterproofing and fire protection products in marketing and technical field services. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Penn State University.
John is a member of the American Concrete Institutes Technical Committee 523 on Low Density Concretes and ASTM Committee C09 on Concrete and Concrete Aggregates. He is on the board of directors of the National Roof Deck Contractors Association and a member of the Ontario Canadian Building Envelope Council.
