Moxy Phinx does it LIVE & Fin-Folsom
For the first time ever, one woman/one computer band moxy phinx is adding live musicians to her set. And doin it in front of people. (Praise the lord; her laptop is real OLD.)
FIN-FOLSOM a@ 8:45 pm: Their third EP, Ruins+Rituals, is a collection of character studies. It's an exploration of the shifting relationship three New Yorkers have with their city. The lyrics for the album were composed by Conor Walsh on his daily subway commute to the public school where he taught. The tones were written in a pair of apartments, the drums in a garage.
MOXY PHINX @ 9:45: Katrina Lenk (aka moxy) is joined by fellow Once alumni Erikka Walsh, Elisabeth Evans, Andy Taylor, Scott Stangland, Ryan Vona and Paul Whitty. What mayhem will ensue? Will the band actually show up? Will Andy Taylor sleep through the whole thing? Will moxy fall down the stairs? These riveting questions will be answered April 12, The Bowery Poetry Club. 8:30 pm.
