Calgary Men's Chorus presents "Exorior"
Often times we experience moments in life when everything around us seems to be on fire. Moments that devour our confidence and almost breaking our will. Yet, if we persist, from the ashes of the fire we will find a renewed spirit and the power to soar again. "Exorior" will feature a wonderful mix of music that explores the idea of "rising from the ashes". Movement and dance featuring Gessuri Gaitan will explore the idea of breaking free, and aerialists Patrick Chan, Tyler Ayers, and Meaghan Wegg will visually pull, twist, and soar above the stage in this multi-disciplinary collaborative performance aimed at exploring the mythological story of the Phoenix.
Collaboration has been a key factor in a number of Calgary Men's Chorus' productions and we are please to have (in addition to our feature dance and aerial artists) singers from Cum Vino Cantus and the Savridi Singers.
"Fight on, my merry men all, I'm a little wounded, but I am not slain; I will lay me down for to bleed a while, Then I'll rise and fight with you again" - Dryden (1702)
