The Bug Theatre's 21st Anniversary
For 21 years The Bug Theatre has established itself as the premier venue in Denver to check out live comedy, local film and lots of great live theatre. As the home to Freak Train, the Emerging Filmmakers Project, Equinox Theatre Company and many other groups, The Bug Theatre has been recognized many times as one of the best venues in Denver. It's won multiple awards from Westword's Best of Denver, Denver Post Ovation Awards, True West Awards and more. Now, you have a chance to enjoy an evening filled with the very best of The Bug from the past 21 years.
The event starts at 6:00 P.M. with cocktails. The show begins at 7:30 P.M.
Performances include the return of Gary Culig, who is best known in Denver for playing the role of Crumpet for 10 years in The Santaland Diaries at The Bug. Also performing will be Deacon Gray, Christie Buchele, Sam Tallent, Mayonai$$$e, Aaron the Entomologist, Max Mago, Michelle Baldwin as Vivienne VaVoom and Verl Hite. Featuring the best of the Emerging Filmmakers Project short films, and performances from Equinox Theatre Company, The Next Pony, Department of Redundancy Department and more.
In addition to this wonderful night of entertainment, there will be a silent auction featuring works of art and other items donated by Bug patrons, artists and performers. One exciting item up for bid is a 2003 Harley Davidson XLH883 100th Anniversary Edition Sportster, which has been lovingly restored, includes new tires and the luggage accessories.
