Bridge the gap between St. Paul and Minneapolis transportation history in a special "dual-museum" vintage bus tour event, hosted by Hennepin History Museum and the Minnesota Transportation Museum! The Minnesota Transportation Museum and Hennepin History Museum are partnering up to bring you a historic bus tour of Minneapolis in a vintage 1950's transit bus!
Owned and typically operated by the Minnesota Transportation Museum out of the James J. Hill-built Jackson Street Roundhouse, this vintage bus is visiting Hennepin County to take you on a tour through time to explore Minneapolis transportation history.
Start your tour at the fabulous Hennepin History Museum. Shortly after arrival, we'll take you on a tour of some historic sites in Minneapolis, including the Stone Arch Bridge, where you'll be able to get out and see the marvel that James J. Hill himself created. Upon return to Hennepin History Museum, you'll have time to stroll through the galleries.
Check in between 4:00 and 4:45 at Hennepin History Museum; the bus departs promptly at 5 pm.
Your ticket includes admission to both Hennepin History Museum as well as a complimentary family admission pass to the Minnesota Transportation Museum in St. Paul for use on a later date.
Seating is limited AND SOLD OUT within minutes after they became available online.
Friday, June 19, 5 to 7 pm (please arrive for check in between 4:00 and 4:45)
$15 regular ticket price/$10 for members of either museum (enter member code "beepbeep" to reveal member price).
Please note that if you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend the event, your ticket cost is not refundable. Nor are we able to make adjustments or refunds if you purchase a ticket at the regular price but qualify for the member price. All tickets are final sale, no refunds.
