The Misanthrope
Before we had the luxury of using our remote to voyeuristically experience upper class society with shows like "Real Housewives" and "The Hills" the theater was the place to go to tickle our fully bone. The Misanthrope by Moliere, is the story of a group of friends, near to King Louis XIV, who are struggling with some very fundamental human behaviors. Is it better to be truthful and honest, no matter how painful, or should hypocrisy reign to maintain your manners in polite society? Set in 17th Century France, The Misanthrope is a hilarious farce full of sex, lies and high-falutin theatricality!
Eclectic Theater Company presents this classic directed by Kate Huisentruit and featuring a very talented cast and design team. Cast features Bryan Bender, Hannah Mootz, Adria LaMorticella, Sarah Eagen, Faith Middleton, Bridget O'Neill, Caleb Joslin, Zachary Hewell, and Adrian Moynihan.
