Home Coffee Roasting Class at Local 123
The final frontier in coffee - Slow Drink presents "A Home Coffee Roasting Class", roasting green coffee beans at Local 123 in Berkeley. Join Local 123 barista and home-roaster, Tim VanDragt, for a how-to workshop on roasting coffee. After finding the Poppery 2 air-popper at Urban Ore, Tim started roasting coffee in his apartment. Now he'll walk you through the basics: sourcing green coffee, the infamous "first crack" and an introduction to roast profiles.
Participants will receive a package of freshly roasted coffee as well as green beans and instructions for roasting at home. Note: Time 7-9pm @ Local 123
