In The Pony Palace / Football
The girls of the Pony Palace know how to run the spread, cheerleaders still have all the power, and everyone just wants to play forever. This new piece by performance group, Half Straddle, is a slyly subversive consideration of gendered roles, sports culture, and performance. An all-girl cast portrays a reinterpreted high school landscape, and explores what it means to be on a team and live for a feeling. Set to the score of the Pony Palace marching band performing live music mash-ups!
