The Spores of Eden - RHINOFEST 2011
On a dead Nebraskan farm, mother Agatha is elderly. Daughter Linda is grown, but enfeebled by illness. Brother is banished. Father crushed dead. Agatha hides a dozen raw eggs for an Easter egg hunt to invoke times before decay. Linda finds eleven before she asks to rest. She is tired. She found eleven. She asks for hints. Agatha is tired. Hiding all twelve wasn't easy. Hints diminish what can be found. The egg rots. Reeks. Fills the house. These two women live now only to out-suffer each other. To be vindicated by surviving the other. To decay last.
