The Cut - VIP Reception - One Night Only!
Everyone has secrets. Please join us, Saturday, January 22nd at Open Circle Theater for a more personal look into the life of Dennis Milam Bensie, author of the memoir, Shorn: Toys to Men, who was challenged with an unusual compulsion during his childhood that developed into a dangerous obsession as an adult. Along with Dustin Engstrom, OCT's Associate Artistic Director who was inspired by Dennis' memoir and adapted it for the stage in The Cut, OCT's Artistic Director and director of the show, Gary Zinter, will provide the inside scoop on how a true story leapt from the page to the stage.
$35 gets you pre-show drinks and appetizers beginning at 6:00pm, a tour of the theater, a reading from Shorn: Toys to Men by Dennis Milam Bensie as well as a private showing of his personal photo albums. In addition, your ticket includes that night's performance of The Cut and a free drink ticket to use at the OCT bar. Afterwards, you may never feel the same way about your pair of shears.
(Please be advised the mainstage show contains nudity and sexual violence.)
** Like all Saturday shows for The Cut, this date will also include a post-show talk back with Dennis Milam Bensie.
