Piven Theater Workshop: Piven Theatre Workshop returns to its roots with Anytime/Anywhere: The Piven Improv Series, a month long program centering on its resident Piven Improvisation Ensemble and featuring teams from its advanced youth students, adults, teachers, alumni, the wider artistic community, and members of its PEEP program which serves adults with developmental disabilities.
Storybox Unscripted Theater Company: Storybox Unscripted Theatre is a 90-minute one-act theatrical production for adult audiences, created and performed by an ensemble of improvisational storytellers. Using wooden sticks, colored pieces of cloth, and a single audience suggestion, this highly talented ensemble of theatre artists create an original story that is performed only once for each audience. Utilizing movement, scene-work, and transformations to create the arc of the story, they develop characters, motifs, and themes into a performance featuring evocative improvised environments, imagery, music, and stage tableaus that bring the audience along on the main character's epic and personal journey.
