The State Street Traditional Jazz Band

Every member of this band has a passion to play and preserve Traditional New Orleans Jazz and by capturing the original "Preservation Hall Jazz Band" era of music. John Page, founder & leader and Mark Finks, interim leader have brought their love of traditional New Orleans Jazz to the forefront of today's music scene since 1987. Both men have spent their lives studying, playing and interfacing with the most influential traditional New Orleans musicians of their generation.

Captain Page, retired U.S. Merchant Marine ship's captain, MMA & FIU graduate is a lifelong trumpet player hailing from a family of professional musicians reaching back several generations.

Mark Finks, entrepreneur extraordinaire, Yale University grad, former leader of the Galvanized Jazz Band and former President of the Dixieland Society of Connecticut recorded for George Buck and played with greats such as Woody Allen.
