In its first foray outside its New York base, Pentacle seeks to broaden the public awareness of dance and dance companies from outside a specific geographic location. Bringing companies from across the USA to Boston in one show enables the Boston audience to experience the range of creativity that exists outside its own environs.
The five performing companies include Boston's own LCTC - Lorraine Chapman The Company, Dorcas Román Dance Theatre from Los Angeles, and three New York metro area companies: Mersiha Mesihovic/CircuitDebris, The Moving Architects and white road Dance Media. All five companies bring a different aesthetic and perspective to their work, making for an eclectic evening with something for everyone.
