With many changes taking place in our world today, it is an honor to remember those who paved the way for equality and justice during the Civil Rights Movement. Daring to Think, Move, and Speak is a captivating series of monologues and spirituals featuring African American women of the movement. These monologues will help educate people about African American women who gave themselves to help create equality for all while changing our country and our world. Recommended for ages 13+.
Q & A: There will be a Q & A with the artist following the performances on Thu-Fri evenings and on Sat afternoon.
Trena Bolden Fields is an actress, writer, speaker and life coach. She utilizes her creative abilities, knowledge of the industry and career counseling background to help people navigate their careers and create personal success. Trena has performed at Penumbra Theatre, Illusion Theater, Stages Theatre Company and with Cromulent Shakespeare Company. She has also been seen in independent film, industrials, and commercials. Trena received her undergraduate degree in theatre arts and mass communication from Augsburg College and holds a master's degree in educational psychology, counseling and student personnel psychology from the University of Minnesota.
