Swami Beyondananda is back following up on two past sold out shows at the community center!
Fresh from his Oslo to Jupiter and Beyond tour, Swami Beyondananda is back in San Geronimo for a new show of his trademark Cosmic Comedy and Healing Laughter!
If the elections and / or the economy have got you down, the Swami will help you get on up. And if you're already up, Swami's levitational pull will lift you higher. If you've never seen the Swami in person before or if you have friends who are "Swami virgins" come one, and come all because when it comes to laughing, the more the merrier!
In addition to channeling a brand new song, the Swami will be offering excerpts from his upcoming 2011 State of the Universe Address, and serving up "laughed overs" from his recent world win tour.
The Swami is a popular columnist and author of books as well as CDs and a DVD the titles of which indicate that this turban-powered comedian sees the world from a slightly different angle: Yogi From Muskogee. Don't Squeeze the Shaman. Drive Your Karma, Curb Your Dogma. Duck Soup for the Soul, Supreme Court Jester, Tickling the Body Politic, and Swami for Precedent: A 7-Step Plan to Heal the Body Politic and Cure Electile Dysfunction.
The Swami, whose favorite yoga pose is tongue-in-cheek, is the spokesperson for a new non-religion, FUNdamentalism (accent on "fun"). Says the Swami, "We are strictly non-dominational." In his early years, Swami was a sacred cowpoke, poking fun at overly serious aspirants and the foibles of self-styled seekers. For years, Steve says, people everywhere have been cultivating consciousness and talking about spirituality. Now it's time to turn the talkie into a walkie-talkie. Politics -- the way we make our community, national and world decisions -- is applied spirituality. Swami's new mission is to awaken the body politic to this truth. And what better way to wake up than to wake up laughing? Bhaerman's latest book, written with cellular biologist Bruce H. Lipton, PhD, is Spontaneous Evolution: Our Positive Future and a Way to Get There From Here (Hay House, 2009).
Join the Cosmic Comic for some serious laughter for serious times. And tell your friends because when it comes to laughter, the more the merrier. Guaranteed to keep you laughing till the sacred cows come home!
Joining the Swami for this evening of 'lightened laughter is singer-songwriter Scott Grace (aka the Artist Formerly Known As Scott Kalechstein) who will offer some insightful tunes, a couple of "healing oldies", and will join the Swami in a musical finale where they actually create a farce field so powerful that they both get struck by enlightening!"
Scott Grace, M.D.T. (Modern Day Troubadour) lives in California and lightens and opens hearts and minds for a living. Scott's life is dedicated to ending seriousness on the planet by the year 2012. Described as a cross between John Denver, Eckhart Tolle, and Robin Williams, Scott has been a full time speaker, singer, and transformational humorist since 1990, with nine CDs of his being distributed internationally. Scott has provided music at the lectures and workshops of Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, John Gray, Ram Dass, Byron Katie, Joan Borysenko, Alan Cohen, and Marianne Williamson, among many others. A pioneer in the field of music improvisation, Scott creates therapeutic ''Song Portraits'', original compositions of voice and guitar, recorded onto CD's, spontaneously composed for people wishing greater clarity or guidance on specific issues. His entertaining website is at www.scottsongs.com <http://www.scottsongs.com>.
Caution: The Surgeon General has determined that the songs of Scott Grace may be hazardous to your misery. They have been known to produce deep, out of control surges of joy and laughter in laboratory humans. Therefore, you are advised to listen at your own bliss. In addition, Scott's songs are not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any illness or medical condition. If, while listening, symptoms of fear, guilt, and seriousness still persist, please see your doctor.
