Event
Currency - RHINOFEST 2011
An evening of dense theater shorts in which 'natural-looking' behavior is subjected to contortions, subversions and convolutions, letting 'natural' show its socially constructed face. The duo's work has been described as "dazzling sophistication, virtuoso level of characterization" in the Village Voice; the New Orleans Times-Picayune has said, "I think that Lisa Fay and Jeff Glassman belong in some kind of genius category. One is reminded of silent film comedians and European circus clowns, who hone their material to its essence." And from the Minnesota Fringe Festival: "Homeland had me so moved, I wept."
