Genesis, (Best Drama at the 2010 Capital Fringe Festival), returns for a limited engagement!
Genesis returns for an 8 show, limited engagement at the Warehouse Theater in downtown Washington, DC, January 20 -30, 2011.(Entrance to Warehouse Theater has moved to 645 New York Avenue, around the corner from the old entrance at 1021 7th Street.)
Genesis is the story of an inmate in a mental institution who believes himself to be a fallen angel. Evan Crump, has restored his critically acclaimed script to all it's glory for this remount, exploring the fine line between faith and delusion, raising tough questions at the core of Christian religion, and points to society's willful ignorance of the mentally ill so as to avoid the moral quandaries their treatment raises.
"...a roller-coaster ride of emotions, so buckle up and take this unforgettable ride.", said Joel Markowitz of DC Theatre Scene, calling the show a "...brilliant production and word has gotten out that Genesis is a small gem...". Read his entire review - www.dctheatrescene.com/2010/07/12/genesis/
