Seattle Theatre: What's Next? - Artist Liaison Network
Back in October, the theater community was inspired  to gather and share their thoughts  and ideas at "SH!TSTORM: See Something, Say Something(?)." Many opinions, insights, and potential solutions were shared in this community forum. These brainstorms were handed over to the What's Next? Committee (Jim Jewell, Ryan Higgins, Julia Nardin, and D'Arcy Harrison). The committee has worked diligently behind the scenes to speak to many different community members on the feasibility and viability of the proposed solutions.

The second meeting will be on the topic of creating an ARTISTIC LIAISON NETWORK: A pool of volunteers who can be called on to help field concerns and issues regarding problems within a non-union theatre.

If an artist needed a liaison, how do we guarantee anonymity if and when A.L.N. intervention or mediation with a theatre is needed? What training should be instituted for the liaisons? Is the liaison system part of the guild or separate? What are the consequences for a theatre who has a pattern of having liaisons called in to mediate? How do we keep the liaison system productive and positive for theatres to be engaged?

Come and be part of the conversation, and the action to follow. The event will moderated by Jim Jewell and the conversation hosted and led by Caitlin Frances.

Seattle Theatre: What's Next? is supported by The 14/48 Projects and their mission of supporting and strengthening the Seattle theatre community.
