Professional Workshop with Matthew Lillard
Animus Theatre Company is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Professional Workshop with Matthew Lillard! This is a wonderful opportunity for the serious actor to work on and observe a full weekend of scene study with one of today's leading actors/teachers. In addition to participating in the workshop, we are also offering one day or full weekend audits. Details are below and we look forward to working with you:
What: Professional Workshop with Matthew Lillard
When: Saturday, April 11 AND Sunday, April 12, 2015; 11AM-4PM BOTH DAYS
Where: Teatro Latea 107 Suffolk Street, #200 Between Rivington Street and Delancey Street (entrance close to Rivington) Room 202 or 203

Participant* Fee: $300.00 (Includes at least 1 hour of intensive scene study; covers admission to BOTH days of Workshop)
Single-Day Auditor** Fee: $75.00 (covers 1 day of admission to either Saturday OR Sunday - your choice)
Two-Day Auditor** Fee: $100.00 (covers admission to both days AT A DISCOUNT!)
*Participants will be asked to prepare a scene and bring it to the workshop rehearsed and off-book. Once all participants have registered, Animus Theatre Company will assign scene partners so that each scene will have a full week to prepare. Participants are asked to choose a scene written by an American playwright from 1945-Present (think Tennessee Williams-Present).
**Auditors will not be preparing scenes, but MAY by invited (not required) to participate in a brief exercise. Auditors should be directly involved in the performing arts industry, and will be asked to present a resume prior to completion of registration (please email resume to info@animustheatre.org) along with registration payment made here on Brown Paper Tickets.
All fees are refundable up to 50% thru April 4, 2015. Fees are non-refundable as of 12:01AM on April 5.
MATTHEW LILLARD is an American actor, director, producer, and teacher. He is most well known for his roles as Stu Macher in Scream, Stevo in SLC Punk (awarded Best Actor at the Mar del Plata Film Festival), and Shaggy Rogers in the Scooby-Doo film series - he has taken over as the voice of Shaggy in the cartoon series since the reboot Mystery Incorporated. Mr. Lillard has recently taken dramatic turns in Alexander Payne's critically acclaimed comedy-drama The Descendants as well as the role of troubled journalist Daniel Frye on "The Bridge" on FX. He is currently appearing as Acting Director Banks on "State of Affairs" as well as Mike Davis in the film adaptation of Stephen Belber's Match alongside Sir Patrick Stewart. In 2012 he directed his first film, Fat Kid Rules the World. Matthew Lillard is a proud member of Animus Theatre Company and is slated to make his NYC Directorial debut with Animus' Collected Tennessee Williams Shorts in April/May of 2015 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street.
