Dziewczyna
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Polish Solidarity, Concrete Timbre presents a theatrical concert that documents the travails of Elzbieta, an orphaned four year old girl who grows up searching for her father against the backdrop of communist Poland.
Dziewczyna combines a series of live music, vignettes, poetry, photography, and video projections to explore Elzbieta's search for identity in a time where identity was officially stamped by Big Brother but was defined and realized by the people.
Composed, written, and performed by Concrete Timbre: Ian Baggette, Tobin Chodos, Christopher Dickson, Manuela Le Chler, Stacee Mandeville, Allan Markowitz, Aleksandra Miglowiec, Robert Morton, Chris Kadis Moscato, Moses Patrou, Richard Sage, Michael Stebbins, Ann Warren, Keiji Yoshino
Directed by Jennifer Brainsky.
