San Francisco Food and Sightseeing Tour for the USCC
Come explore the sustainable sites of San Francisco!
There's no better way to combine a sightseeing tour of stunning San Francisco with exploring some of its hot spots of sustainable food. On this engaging and entertaining adventure through the nation's greenest metropolitan areas, Bay Area Green Tour's guests will see many of San Francisco's famous landmarks and also learn what makes the city an urban model for sustainable food and urban land use.
Ferry Building Marketplace Located right on the San Francisco Bay, the Ferry Building Marketplace is committed to the artisan food community and houses a vibrant gathering of independently owned and operated food businesses that showcase small regional producers for fine foods and local wine from Northern California. Urban Farm Visit a working urban farm in the heart of San Francisco and get to know how agriculture can be integrated into a buzzing urban setting and create healthy food and communities.
Lunch Options Join us for a delicious sustainable meal at Mission Pie Restaurant (optional, $19.99 per person), a model sustainable restaurant in the heart of the Mission District, boasting famous and delicious pies of all flavors. Or go exploring for lunch elsewhere nearby in the Mission. But be sure to get back over to Mission Pie after lunch to learn about the living triple bottom line work of this restauarant, the farm they sponsor and source from and the people they employ.
Chrissy Field Enjoy the beauty of the Golden Gate bridge and these lovely park area, alive with wildflowers, pelicans, and gulls.
Mission District Murals With over 600 murals, San Francisco's mural tradition is rich and diverse with murals painted on building walls and facades, fences, garage doors and more. The colorful Mission District is the capital of San Francisco murals with the greatest concentration of murals in San Francisco. The San Francisco Mission neighborhood's love affair with murals stems from the Mexican roots of the Mission District community. On our way to our tour stops we will drive through some (although not all) of the following: The Presidio, Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks (weather and traffic permitting).
Price: $80.00 per person. Optional: Lunch at Mission Pie $19.99 per person
