Judy Garland's Complete Carnegie Hall Concert, a Benefit Tribute Concert, starring Peter Mac as Judy Garland
Award-winning tribute artist Peter Mac is back with his final performance as Judy Garland in Salem this season, benefiting two remarkable charities. So wont you please join us in this loving salute to iconic entertainer Judy Garland, celebrating the 54th anniversary of Garland's much heralded concert at New York's Carnegie Hall. You will experience all 26 songs, performed absolutely live (no lip syncing), just as they were that legendary night of April 23, 1961, as Garland wowed New York audiences.
The resulting live two-disc recording went on to spend 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, not to mention winning Grammys for Album of the Year and Best Female Vocals. Among the classic tunes by Lerner & Loewe, Rodgers & Hart, George & Ira Gershwin and Harold Arlen are "Stormy Weather," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "Almost Like Being in Love" and a blockbuster opening of "The Trolley Song," "Over the Rainbow" and "The Man That Got Away."
Mac takes the stage at the Salem YMCA's Ames Hall for his final appearance in the area. Benefiting the Salem YMCA and another amazing charity to be announced at the event.
PLEASE NOTE NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER 12 HOURS OF PURCHASE THROUGH BROWN PAPER TICKETS.
