The Juicy Bits: How to Make Dim Sum, with Chef Kian Lam Kho
Chef Kian Lam Kho is all about the comfort of Chinese home cooking made from simple ingredients and cooked with simple techniques. His blog, Red Cook (www.redcook.net) shares his culinary adventures from his kitchen with a hungry audience.
In this class, we'll learn how to make a few basic dim sum dishes: Pork and Shrimp Shumai, Shrimp Dumplings, Eggrolls, Stuffed Eggplant/Pepper/Mushroom, Sichuan Spicy Wontons, and Pot Stickers.
In Southern China, eating dim sum is treated as a weekend family day outing. After the class, we'll sit down to eat the juicy morsels we've made, accompanied by lots of Chinese tea (to aid digestion), and dessert (to just make us happy).
Please note:
- Ticket sales are non-refundable, so be sure you can attend before you sign up.
- Gratuity is not included, so please leave a tip for your servers (we suggest $5, but tip at your discretion).
- Coffee and tea are included, but additional drinks will be charged separately.
