Music Against Monsanto

In celebration and support of the international "March Against Monsanto" day of action, musicians and speakers come together to launch the first annual "Music Against Monsanto" event!

Activists and organizers aim to bring awareness of the health and ecological concerns raised about Monsanto and its advocacy and proliferation of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) through an educational and inspiring evening of music and presenters.

Enjoy uplifting music performances by Global Change Music artists; the Starseed Acoustic Ensemble as well as talented songstress Ellanora DellErba & the Israfel Awakened Band. Global Change Music lyrics speak of taking action against any form of injustice where the people are oppressed. Global Change Music promotes sustainable living, which includes growing your own organic food, building green, permaculture, sharing services and goods (trade and barter), and having a protective environmental consciousness.

There will be presentations by leading local food activists including Jaime Hall from GMO-Free Tucson and TaliSeen Combs, garden coordinator for Avalon Organic Gardens & EcoVillage! Stay tuned for more presenters to be announced.

Proceeds support Avalon Organic Gardens Internship programs which educate people about the importance of sustainable farming practices and how to grow food naturally without chemicals or GMOs.
