Acoustic Kitchen: Lāfe Crĭck
Lāfe Crĭck is an Americana band from the Mendocino Coast of Northern California made up of veteran performing musicians, mostly from the bluegrass world, combining influences as diverse as Bill Monroe, Bob Wills, Cake, David Grisman, Townes Van Zandt, John Hartford, Jeff Beck, The Grateful Dead, Wayne Hancock, and the Rolling Stones.

Band Members:

Ryan Kroll (mandolin, guitar, lead and harmony vocals) is originally from Illinois and has been playing bluegrass guitar and mandolin for over twenty years. He was a founding member of the Creek Road Ramblers, a long established southern Illinois bluegrass band. They toured across the country, from the Telluride Band Competition, playing in major regional shows, to hosting their own festival, Down On The River (a tribute to John Hartford).

Joey Goforth (banjo, lead and harmony vocals) grew up in Albion, CA, often picking with school mates down by the river and on the streets of Mendocino. He was a founding member of the Arcata-based group The Bucky Walters, a nationally touring bluegrass band. The Buckey Walters played such festivals as the Northwest String Summit, High Sierra Music Festival, and many others. He has recently returned to his native turf.

Lee Rider (dobro and guitar) grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, picking up the guitar and banjo at age 13. In high school he got the bluegrass bug and formed a band in 1974, playing the local pizza parlor scene. In the early '80's he moved to central Washington state, playing in various regional bands, most notably Catch & Release. Lee performed at such noted festivals as Wintergrass, Darrington, Columbia River, Wenatchee, among others. He also plays pedal and lap steel for Americana band The Rusticators.

Peter Temple (bass) has been a fixture on the coast music scene for over 20 years. He has played bass for many of the top local bands and toured with The Human Revolution, an Americana/activist music group that played many of the top festivals nationwide. Peter is also the go-to guy on the coast for professional sound and owns Peter Temple Studio where he records some of the top musicians in the country.
