We're doing a holdover of 'Shortcut to Nirvana' at Bodhi Tree Yoga Centre on May 15th!
Swallow-a-Bicycle Theatre brings its signature brand of fun and fearless site-specific performance to new territory: the yoga studio! Shortcut to Nirvana, a new play by Jacqueline Russell, premieres at two of Calgary's best-loved studios, Bodhi Tree Yoga Centre (Kensington) and Yoga Passage (Beltline), May 1-10, 2015.
To explore the mysteries of yoga, the world-famous scientific team of Drs. Cortex & Cortex (Sonia Deleo and Andrew Merrigan) have invented a Kundalini-o-meter. With the help of celebrity guru Deva Sitar (Ian McFarlane), they set out to empirically prove the existence of enlightenment! But as duelling egos, hidden schemes and secret histories collide with the scientific process, what they uncover is anything but enlightened.
