Bus trip to Colby College Museum for the Community Day Celebration of the Book
Come see all the good things happening at the Colby Museum of Art!
Visit the extensive permanent collection, or catch these special exhibitions before they close: currents7, featuring Portland's own Elizabeth Atterbury, Terry Winters: Printed Matters, and Listen to this page: Works by Bern Porter. This Community Day will also feature a book-making workshop, book fair showcasing the work of artists and small presses, conversations with artists and curators, and readings.

9:30am bus departs Portland from in front of SPACE Gallery, arriving around 10:30am.
The exhibits will be open for visiting, and these activities will be offered: 10:00am - 1:00pm Book fair in the museum lobby. Publication Studio will be on hand to bind special editions of Elizabeth Atterbury's catalogue. Coffee available. 10:30am - 1:00pm: Book-making workshop in Mirken Education Center with Cynthia Ahlstrin. 11:00am - 11:45am: A conversation on the photographic book featuring Dan Boardman of Houseboat Press and Larissa Leclair of Indie Photobook Library 11:45am - 12:30pm: A conversation on the books of Bern Porter featuring artist Terry Winters and poet Mark Melnicove. 12:30pm - 1:00pm: Reception with food and drinks
1:00pm bus departs the museum to return to Portland 2:30pm bus arrives Portland
