Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed, or written. Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new!
The Improvised Shakespeare Company returns to THEATRE 80 in New York City for 5 shows in May. Their New York appearances always sell out so get your tickets now! Known as one of the most critically acclaimed theatrical Improv troupes in the country, The Improvised Shakespeare Company is returning to NYC for 5 shows May 10-12th at Theatre 80. The ISC has been touring nationally and internationally at Performing Arts Centers and has been featured at Montreal's Just For Laughs, Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival, SF Sketchfest, Bonnaroo Music & Arts fesival, and last summer at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco where none other than Sir Patrick Stewart joined the group as a surprise guest player! The ISC has been named Chicago's "Best Improv Group" by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner and has received a New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group". The ISC has also been honored by the Chicago Improv Foundation as its "Ensemble of the Year".
