Whisperings Solo Piano Concert in Tustin, CA
This unique, interactive solo piano concert series features the piano artistry of Kurt Bestor, Louis Landon and Michele McLaughlin. Whisperings piano concerts are known for their intimacy, energy, and humor as the artists share the stories of the life events that inspired their compositions.
"Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" is an Internet radio broadcast that has become immensely popular. It has vaulted a community of artists, long since forgotten about by major record labels, back into the ears of consumers. Launched in August of 2003, "Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" has been the most listened to solo piano broadcast on the Internet. The program enjoys the participation of over 180 pianists and composers from around the world and is enjoyed by nearly a million listeners a month.
"Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio" invites you to come and enjoy an evening of storytelling and song with some of today's most talented players and composers. There will be a meet and greet with the artists afterward.
KURT BESTOR
is an Emmy-award-winning composer, who for over 30 years has composed an incredible variety of music in a myriad of styles and genres. From over 40 feature-length films, 20 popular CDs, numerous television themes, and mix of live shows, he has established himself as one of America's most prolific and versatile composers. As a gifted performer on piano, trumpet, and a handful of other instruments, Bestor has performed his popular holiday shows for over 22 years to sold-out audiences throughout the western United States. People from Seattle to Dallas have enjoyed his easy-going manner and rapport with the audience. Bestor has also performed internationally, conducting and performing with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, the Estonian National Orchestra, among others.
LOUIS LANDON
is a solo pianist/composer from New York who has dedicated his life to music. His career has taken him around the world playing a variety of styles with some of the most recognized names in the entertainment industry. In 2005, Landon realized that his solo piano music, driven by his passion for world peace, brought joy and particularly peace, to his listeners world-wide. He has recorded 9 CDs, four of those solo piano recordings. His latest solo piano CD, Solo Piano for Love, Peace & Mermaids, was released in July 2010 and was added to the top 100 CDs for the month of October at #14 on ZoneReporter.com. It was also nominated for album of the year by Whisperings radio. He is currently finished up a pop singer/songwriter CD, produced by Grammy award winning guitarist, Eric Tingstad. It will be released 2011.
MICHELE McLAUGHLIN
is a New Age Pianist & Composer. Her solo piano music is haunting and contagious, relaxing and beautiful, peaceful and touching. She has released twelve solo piano albums, many having received high praise and recognition. Her music is enjoyed worldwide and can be heard on several online radio stations, including; Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, Pandora Radio, and MusicChoice Soundscapes. In addition, she can also be heard several local, national and international radio stations. Michele performs regularly and has shared the stage with some of her favorite pianists. She loves to perform with fellow musicians because she feels it brings so much more to the experience of the audience and the performers
