Kristi Faulkner Dance/DDCdances Collaboration at Detroit Contemporary
Join Kristi Faulkner Dance and DDCdances March 28th @ 8pm and March 29th @ 2pm for this unique collaborative performance!
In one week only, Artistic Directors Kristi Faulkner (KFD) and Barbara Selinger (DDCdances) will work with community dancers of all ability levels to create original performances inspired by the artwork of Jo Powers. Powers' work has generally been about human relationships: to oneself, to one's environment, to one another. At the start of her career in the mid-1980s, her images were about solitude and isolation in domestic and industrial settings.
