Johnny Connolly has generated a reputation as an accomplished button accordionist of the highest order. Johnny's talents have paved the way across continents and provided him opportunities to perform and record with many internationally-renowned artists including Kevin Burke, the Chieftains, Patrick Ourceau, and Aidan Brennan. His first solo CD, entitled "Bridgetown," on the highly esteemed Green Linnet Records label has earned critical claim and brought Connolly to the forefront of the younger generation of tradional Irish musicians.
Jonny has joiined extraordinary banjo and bodhran player, Dave Cory, and journeyman guitar accompanist Cary Novotny to form the high energy Irish traditional power trio "Bridgetown," borrowing the name from Johnny's first cd. Cary Novotny is currently a lawyer with a solo practice specializing in entertainment law and has been playing guitar and singing professionally for two decades. Novotny has recorded and performed with many great bands in the word of Irish music, including the "The Bridies" and Hanz Araki. Cory hails from the Bay area and at the age of 26 has established himself as a multi-instrumentalist of note with musical sensibility and taste beyond his years. Dave has been taking turns on the guitar, banjo, bass, and bodhran with many notable Irish artists across America, including the "Magic Square," Alissa Schneckenberger, and An Tua.
