Kabir is an independent rapper, singer and producer originally from London. His music brews a robust blend of live, bass-heavy beats with intricate rhymes and soulful melodies. Kabir started playing music at the age of five and now performs regularly in Boston, New York and London. He has shared stages with rap giants such as the Beatnuts, the Pharcyde, A Tribe Called Quest, the Roots, J-Live, Dilated Peoples and Wyclef-Jean. In 2001 he released "Cultural Confusion" - a self-produced album featuring Mr. Lif, Virtuoso and Esoteric. His new album "Fuel for the Fire" (2003) also features Esoteric and Virtuoso, along with other talented Boston acts such as Shuman, III Kings, Lady K of Red Pill, Ajahni of Vibewise and Amayo of the Antibalas Afro-Beat Orchestra. Kabir plays with a hip hop band that provides the backbone for his live show: an infectious dose of thoughtful, energetic music.

"Have you ever wondered what honey sounds like? Brindell is a soulful, sexy siren from the same beehive as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Erykah Badu. Behind the piano, she performs a melodious blend of funk, jazz, and soul that is a remedy for the ear – and the sweet tooth, too."
-Boston Weekly Dig
"…if anything is going to put us in the right groove, it's this newly minted diva of funk, pop, and jazz….Brindell's debut CD, 'Piece of Mind,' has been soothing our soul of late."
-Boston Globe
