The Low Anthem with Joe Fletcher and the Wrong Reasons

Music at Lily Pads kicks off our 2011 season with two very special bands. The Low Anthem,on the eve of the release of their third album,Smart Flesh, will bring their craft to a church sanctuary in the village of Peace Dale. Four gifted musicians, each playing multiple instruments, doing songs to make you close your eyes and smile, including songs from their acclaimed disc, Oh My God Charlie Darwin. This year they toured Europe twice, supported Emmylou Harris on her fall tour, played Newport Folk Festival, and,the week following our show,they play The Allen Room at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Reasons is an American Rock N' Roll band that began in Providence, RI in 2005. Joe Fletcher remains at the helm of this country blues-based outfit. Joe will be playing our show with The Wrong Reasons in trio format, his solo acoustic guitar backed by upright bass and snare drum. He will be playing songs from his 2007 release, Bury Your Problems, and his much anticipated brand new disc, White Lighter. Fletcher's story-driven songwriting has been earning comparisons to Cash, Cave, Cohen, and Dylan.
