"Orlando" at Conservatory Theatre Ensemble/ Tamalpais High School
Orlando takes audiences on a time-traveling journey with a winsome young man who awakens one morning to find himself in the throes of a surprising transformation. "Which is the greater ecstasy," Orlando asks innocently, "the man's or the woman's?" Conservatory Theatre Ensemble, Tamalpais High School's award-winning student theatre company, comprises the acting ensemble that plays the multiple, gender-bending roles. Advanced students also design the world of the play. Directed by Co-Program Director Ben Cleaveland, the play delights as it also stimulates serious thought about the roles that men and women play.
Orlando is intended for high school ages and up.
