Politics & Prose and Sixth & I Present AN EVENING WITH CHUCK PALAHNIUK
One of the most provocative fiction writers at work today, Palahniuk, who has described his own work as "transgressional," has written fourteen novels, including Fight Club, the basis for the film starring Brad Pitt. This evening will be as unique as the author on stage, full of prizes, games, a sure-to-shock story, and audience Q&A. Each ticket holder will receive a signed copy of "Make Something Up" and issue #1 of the "Fight Club 2" comic.
In "Make Something Up: Stories You Can't Unread" (Doubleday, $26.95), Palahniuk's first collection of stories, his full range of invention, absurdity, and strangeness is front and center. The author also revisits Tyler Durden, giving us an unexpected side of his Fight Club protagonist in the short story, "Expedition."
"Fight Club 2" is the long-anticipated graphic-novel sequel from Dark Horse Comics which features more of fan-favorite Tyler Durden, Marla, and The Narrator and throws us straight back into the mayhem and revolution of the original story.
There will be no public signing at this event. All books and comics will be pre-signed.
