Lynch Mob with special guest: Mudjunkie and Haiz Rail
Lynch Mob was formed in 1989 by former Dokken guitarist George Lynch, former Dokken drummer Mick Brown, former Cold Sweat singer Oni Logan and bassist Anthony Esposito after Dokken disbanded. Lynch Mob was supposed to be guitarist George Lynch's new guitar-driven vehicle. The group released its first album Wicked Sensation in 1990 and it peaked at No. 46. Wicked Sensation featured the singles "River of Love" and the title track. Lynch Mob released a self-titled album in 1992 with new singer Robert Mason, which featured a cover of the Queen classic "Tie Your Mother Down" as well as the original songs "Tangled in the Web" and "No Good." The album was considered to be a combination of slick rock tracks and power ballads. However, with Seattle's Grunge Rock movement taking center stage, Lynch Mob's niche market was not as popular as it once was and led Lynch Mob to disband in 1993. Both guitarist George Lynch and drummer Mick Brown reunited with Dokken in 1995. However, when George Lynch left the band in 1998, he began working on a new Lynch Mob record with an entirely new lineup. George Lynch moved the band toward a rap-rock hybrid sound and released Smoke This in 1999. After a brief tour Lynch Mob disbanded again. In 2003, George Lynch reunited with vocalist Robert Mason, bassist Anthony Esposito and new drummer Michael Frowein to record Lynch Mob's fourth album REvolution. The album is considered to be heavier and faster than previous Lynch Mob albums. Michael Frowein was replaced by drummer Chas Stumbo for the REvolution Live Tour. A recording of the tour was released as a CD/DVD in 2004. George Lynch has reunited with Oni Logan and Lynch Mob and will perform at various summer festivals, including the first-ever Rock The Bayou in Houston, Texas, during Labor Day weekend 2008. Lynch Mob is back with a new album by way of FRONTIERS RECORDS titled "SMOKE AND MIRRORS" celebrating 20 years of the franchise. The band is touring in the fourth quarter of 2009 into 2010 and 2011.
