How Art Saved My Life
Vita Arts is unveiling a new workshop structure that involves theatrical production in addition to the opportunity to learn valuable skills of artistic expression.
The 4pm afternoon workshop begins with a 30 minute theatrical show, dedicated to the demographic of women suffering and overcoming hardship. This free event is currently by invitation only and requires a password. The theatrical component involves 5 unique pieces utilizing a specific artform each. After the presentation, the audience is invited to split into groups to participate in performer-lead workshops in order to learn the basics of an artistic skill they saw illustrated in the show portion of the event.
The 7pm evening show is open to the public, and consists of the theatrical production presented in the afternoon workshop as well as a variety of performances by Vitas staff, teachers and guest artists. This show is for our friends, family, enthusiasts and supporters to come see what we are up to, enjoy a great show, and celebrate a new chapter in how Vita Arts changes peoples lives. Tickets are $12 advance, $15 at the door.
Vita Arts is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives through the power of artistic expression.
