The Firestarters at Death & Taxes: Matthew Kelly

The Firestarters is a pop-up dinner series ushering in the latest projects from AC Restaurants, Death & Taxes and Bridge Club. Throughout the month of April, we're inviting some of the best chefs in the South to cook with us in our space.

To close out this whirlwind adventure, we're thrilled to welcome hometown hero, Mathew Kelly of Vin Rouge Bistro and Mateo Tapas in Durham. Matthew and Ashley have spent countless hours together tending to the coals while roasting whole animals. At his restaurants, he harnesses the classic flavors of France and Spain in a deliciously Southern context. For two nights only, Matthew will take over the grill at Death & Taxes.

This special dinner begins with a special champagne and cocktail reception hosted by Ashley at Bridge Club, on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Guests will enjoy a tour of the events loft, plus libations and snacks previewing the forthcoming menu. Then guests will head downstairs to Death & Taxes for a 4-course dinner prepared by Matthew, with wine pairings from beverage director Matt Fern. Single tickets are available for seating at the kitchen bar only. Tickets can be purchased for 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. seatings. Tickets are inclusive of tax and gratuity. Due to the very limited capacity of these events, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
